Be Ready, Keep Your Lamps Burning
-- Luke 12:35
A seismic shift is occurring in world and church history. A line is being drawn in the sand. We are living a “critical hour”, a decision-making time. Who shall we serve? Whose kingdom shall we build? No more straddling the fence! No more religious counterfeiting! The difficulty of the times we live in will reveal our choice. We can no longer afford to remain in a place of comfort, of compromise, of complacency and risk falling into lukewarmness, hugely displeasing the Lord. A lukewarm church is the greatest threat to our world.
It is up to the Ekklesia to arise and shine (Isa 60) as to release the brilliance of the Lord’s presence, our greatest weapon of spiritual warfare. Lamps burning in this generation! It is God’s intent that here, on earth, in us and through us, the glory of the Lord be revealed. This is the world’s only HOPE – Christ, arising in us, the Hope of the glory. (Col. 1:27) Be ready. Keep your lamps burning. (Lk 12:35). Through the indwelling word of Christ and the Holy Spirit, this is possible, “..... His word was in my heart as a BURNING FIRE shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back. And I could not.” (Jer.20:9b) Our lives, as sacrificial offerings to the Lord, become altars of God and He releases the fire, transforming us into “burning torches”.
COME! CATCH THE FIRE! Be transformed! Become holy arsonists setting hearts on fire and turn the world upside down!
The CRS of Edmonton invites you to our conference on November 14-16 at OLPH Parish located at 13 Brower Dr. Sherwood Park, AB
“Don’t let my love grow cold, I’m calling out, light the fire again.”
(Song – Light the Fire again)
Featured Speaker
Maria Vadia
Born in Havana, Maria Vadia was 10 years old when she and her family fled to Miami to escape the Communist regime in her native country. She attended Catholic schools and was a Sunday Catholic with no personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Later married to a wealthy man, she was gripped with materialism; yet in the midst of everything that the world had to offer, she felt an emptiness deep within her heart.
Maria's life was radically changed when she was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1987. She consecrated her life to Jesus and to the preaching of the Gospel. In spite of great adversity, the Lord has been with her like a mighty warrior (Jeremiah 20:11).
Active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Archdiocese of Miami, Maria has spoken at many conferences and has traveled extensively around the world in over 30 nations, carrying a message of faith, salvation and healing. She is Founder of the ‘Jesus is Lord’ Chapter of Magnificat in Miami, a ministry to Catholic women, and is connected with Glory House of Miami, a safe haven for human traffic victims.
As Founder of The Glory of God Foundation, Maria is committed to making Jesus known to the nations by the preaching of the Gospel in the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. This foundation is currently helping the Pygmies of Uganda to construct homes suitable for human living. It is Maria's desire to see the Catholic Church restored to the beauty of the Bride of Christ with miracles, signs, and wonders. She and her team have been helping God’s people enter into deeper worship and experience the Glory of God. Together with Fr. Tom di Lorenzo, she also sponsors two main events annually: The School of the Holy Spirit and Days of Glory conference.
Maria has authored eleven books: "There’s Power in Your Tongue", “Pressing on in The Spirit”, “An Arrow in His Hand”, “Healing is for You”, “Break Open Your Wells”, “ Miracles in the Glory”, “Victory in the Eye Gate”, “No More Orphans”, “Jesus Man of War!” and “Created to be a Champion and her latest book is Fire Power.
